We have a house.
We do things.
WHO WE ARE
Chromatic (est. 2014) is the social house and social community for Middlebury students interested in art and who want to make friends who also like art (or just want to make friends...).
Our definition of "art" is broad: from painting, singing, and instrument playing to stitching, baking, sports, magic tricks, interpretive dance, selfies, doodling, etc. Our members do it all.
We don't judge on your art-abilities nor do you have to prove your artistry to join.

We welcome all people, shapes, sizes, identities, and sometimes, pets. See the recruitment page for more information on how to join the house.
WHAT WE DO
Chromatic is a dual-community of members who live in the actual house and members who live elsewhere on campus. As a house, we are given SGA money to buy art supplies for our members to use. When we say "Chromatic House" we mean everyone in Chrome. But we also mean Prescott. We're so lucky to have this beautiful house ("Prescott" in ridgeline area) to offer to our members as a dorm, and as a place to hang out, host parties, make music, paint, sing, work, and celebrate art forms
[See The House on home page for more info].

We have all-chrome weekly or bi-weekly meetings at which we eat food, hang out, and usually do some kind of art-related activity. We also are starting to engage in campus/town of Middlebury outreach, community service, and fundraising events for causes of choice.

We host both campus-wide concerts and parties, as well as Chrome-only events. Chrome-only events include s'mores nights by the fireplace, movies, games, "Chrome Dolci", painting, jam sessions, dance parties, relax and unwind events, cooking, hiking and more... anything that you want to see happen in Chrome, we have the means to make them happen!

*If you are an acapella group, band, etc on campus and are looking for a venue to hold a concert, email us! [See Contact].
